Healesville Sanctuary - Vice Letterpress
Also in response to the Healesville Sanctuary brief, Vince Letterpress has created unique printed stationery featuring animals from the Threatened Species Unit. The cards feature a unique plantable paper embedded with a Lemon Scented Bottlebrush seeds. It is 100% recycled paper and made in Australia. Paired with the antique printing methods used, the cards are a symbolic product for rare and endangered species. Meaghan Barbuto says “The press that I use is an antique and in the mid 80's many of them were thrown on the scrap heap, my press was rescued from such a fate. The paper is a gift in its self, it can be planted to germinate new life and give back to the earth more Australian bush. I use environmentally friendly inks for this type of work, they are soy based. The end product is a very tactile experience one where the customer can truly engage with the product and potentially have it with them always”.
