Chamber Music Australia
The first New Craft Made in Victoria outcome was a beautiful hand screenprinted scarf made exclusively for the Asia Pacific Chamber Music Competition. Designed and manufactured in July 2009 by Belinda Hellier of Blink Designs, the scarf is made from soft merino wool and features a screen print of music by Schoenberg, the designer’s favorite composer. Chamber Music Australia took part in the project to create 100 low cost scarves at a unit price of $25 each. The scarves will be enjoyed by participants, judges, staff and volunteers. The New Craft Product was displayed at the Melbourne Recital Centre for the duration of the Asia Pacific Chamber Music Competition.
